You purchased your domain name and maybe you bought a template to build your WordPress site. But who is going to host it? A quick google search will help you…sort of. You’ll quickly find that there are a billion hosting companies and everyone has the best service. How do you choose?

This isn’t a comparison article. There are a lot of hosting sites out there, and to be honest, many of them are great, especially if you’re just getting started. Engage Small uses Bluehost (and I use it at 26Made too). We love it because it’s simple, integrated everywhere and really, really (really!) affordable.

Here are some features that Bluehost has:

  • Unlimited websites (not included on the Basic plan, but if you have one site, then you’re all set!)
  • Unlimited storage (50GB on the Basic plan which is probably more than you’ll need)
  • Free domain for a year (if you haven’t bought one or if you want to get a variation of your business name)
  • Custom themes
  • 24/7 support
  • WordPress integration (and it’s oh so easy)
  • Free CDN included
  • Free SSL Certificate

Sign up is fast and easy to get started building. You can use one of their templates or find one from another site like Elegant Themes. These are professionally created so they will load quickly and look amazing on any device. And if you run into any trouble, just hop over to YouTube and I’m certain a five minute video will help you with anything you need when adding copy and images to your site.

Bluehost also offers free migration services. So, if your site is currently hosted somewhere but you’re not happy, or just want to save some money, you can now use the migration tool to move your WordPress site. It’s as simple as adding a plugin so there is no risk of losing anything along the way. Human error is real!

They run promotions all the time but Bluehost usually starts at $3.95 a month. Check here to see their current promotion.
